And I begin again....

I have to extend an apology to my followers for being absent of crafts and recipes. Finally my gypsy bones have been rested and my mind is clear to create.
The lil man and I are settled into our new home. It is very little but perfect for the two of us to get back on our feet.

The Indian has a place and art is on the walls.

Today I will sew for the first time in months....

Gypsy Tattoo Family R&R

Hey Folks. I'm totally still here after my absence over the last few days. Not long after my last post about Halloween costumes for my dog Sally the wonder pug was stung by a bee. Sally my pug, is highly allergic to bees and went into anaphylactic shock. I gave her medication so she wouldn't die but she had to still be rushed to the vet er to save her life as the shock was now killing her.

 She came home yesterday after being at the vet for three days. Our tattoo Gypsy family is so much happier now that the Sally pug is home at last. She is taking it easy this weekend as we too are now that the vet bill has left us broke. But hey I have a pretty big stash and plenty of projects to do so lets get ready for the holidays.
Today I began cleaning out the three boxes of art supplies in the closet as well as just cleaning out the closet. My in laws are staying a week around thanksgiving so getting prepared now is great especially because i would like to be heavily crafting and sewing for the holidays.

I love those Costco Bags. I was totally obsessed with buying them every time i went to costco then poof they stopped caring them. I did travel all about and I'm sure some Costco's may sell them. Anyone want to trade something cool for some new Costco bags? XOXO

I found this amazing little version of the larger storage containers they sell at walmart for .50. What a great little container I though. Thankfully it was nap time while I was searching for something rad to put the pains in.

Oh my mess!

I do have to show off my fabulous fabric stash organisation the other day. This is the top of an old steamer trunk from about 1920. I love the steamer trunks for so many things. And in the lower level I have larger pieces of fabric nestled between my precious china.

A few days later still organized.

Well I better get back to decluttering and organizing.

Today we raid the library!

Today I was attacked by a drove of small children at the library! I have discovered that gold teeth and tattoos will make every child want to touch and admire up close. That being said I am super proud of my little gypsy toddler who didn't seem to mind. I actually think he was stoked to be with the grown up everyone wanted to talk with.
After my gold tooth was fingered by about five children and I started to become a bit overwhelmed so we went on up to the adult area to grab a few mommy books.

Gypsy wagons

In Vermont I have come across more caravans then I have ever seen. And this gypsy family had driven cross country twice now.



This airstream was parked out front the Granville town hall during the memorial day sale.












It is really amazing.





This totally radical "wonderbus" made me so excited. It was parked on a side street in Burlington, vt.

Gypsy travels

I am not sure if you know this but my mother was a flight attendant for NWA, she retired a few years back after a 40+ years in service. I spent my first 12 years of life traveling with my mom. We were very privileged because we could travel for free.



This started my love of traveling very young. At 14 I moved to Utah for school and pretty much never came home for very long again. At 17 I moved across country for the first time alone, Olympia to Portland, Maine. A few times I returned back to Olympia.



Five years ago I meet my amazing partner who later became my husband. My husband is a radical artist. He is very lucky in his industry to be able to travel around to work in pretty much anyplace.



We meet in portland, Oregon eight months later we moved to san francisco, california a few months later we left for Reno.



Again we left around six months and moved across country for the first time. My man is from Philadelphia, PA born and raised. So we tried out Philly. It was amazing to see where he grew up. Experience Philly and start our family. Little man was born on Philly just like his daddy, so was the wonderpug.



After a year in Philly we traveled cross country again, back to the bay area. A few months later back to Reno.
So once again my gypsy family is traveling across to the opposite side of the county that we are now. This time we are not chasing the dollar, my poor husband has a horrible knee injury on valentines day. We are heading east to be with family while daddy-o gets surgery and gets better. This last winter in vermont was a really hard one for our family. We had two passings and a injury. So it will be good for everyone to be together.
We are flying very late. I planned this mostly because my toddler can sleep as this is probably the last time he can ride on my lap.
We are happy to be in Vermont in the spring time and be with family.



My blogging may be sparse for a week until I get settled. I do have a few new swaps I've signed up for that I am really excited to share, plus a few extra guest posts from Kneaded love a wonderful baker as well as baby clothes for a new baby cousin.

I-spy quilt

Sorry folks about my lack of posts.
Last week here in Reno we hosted the NTA convention. All I can say is that it was pretty crazy and we are still exhausted!

So after much delay I have finally started my first I-spy quilt.
